You could take a moment to write something about yourself here, so that students in our partner schools can get to know you better.

1) Terry Fox (marathon of hope) raised money running for cancer research and he showed everyone not to give up on life even when it is the worst of times and everything seems hopeless.

2) My father (Mr. Huang) is a hero/role model to me because he hasn’t given up on protecting my family and making sure my siblings and I become successful in life even if he never had a chance to continue his childhood.

3) My mother (Mrs. Huang) is also a role model/hero of mine because she also hasn’t given up on my family and she continues to keep us in line so we don’t turn out like criminals.

4) Hancock (the movie character played by Will Smith), in this movie has shown me that a hero isn’t someone kind and generous, but someone willing to protect lives for the right reasons and not for recognition and glory.

5) Martin Luther King Jr. is a hero because he has stood up to people with great power for the rights for black people because no human being should be considered without rights. He has made me think that we are all the same and people should not face discrimination because of their skin color. The only difference is in our souls and minds.
